How to Live in the Moment, Enjoy the Moment & Let Go of the Root Cause of Stress: Today’s Life Lesson from Eckhart Tolle exposes the roots of imbalance and suffering. He illuminates a path to a life of mastery where we dwell simultaneously in the dimensions of “being” and “becoming.”
I will then provide commentary and insights into my own experience of living in the present moment by letting go of the root cause of stress and suffering in general.

Understanding How to Live in the Moment with Eckhart Tolle
Today I have consciously curated an inspirational life lesson from renowned spiritual teacher, Eckhart Tolle.
I chose today’s life lesson because we all need to be reminded of this message. In the evolution of consciousness, we are in we need to understand how genuinely fulfilling living in the present moment can be.
I also chose Eckhart Tolle for today’s life lesson because he has a significant impact on the world.
The level of consciousness of his teachings is significant. They are calibrated at the level of consciousness of Mastery. It is beyond useful and effective at 210+ on the Map of Consciousness®, to Mastery at 450.
They are powerful transformative teachings.
In today’s insights, I will address the issue of goal setting in your life related to the Map.
How can you enjoy every moment when you are in pursuit of some goal?
You’ve heard the expression, “It’s the journey, not the destination.”
More than enough, from more than enough spiritual teachers, right?
This is referring to the present moment living vs. projecting yourself out there to a non-existent future.
So I ask you when you are pursuing a goal, are you enjoying every moment of it and living in the moment?
Or are you are more focused on becoming, or fulfilling, or reaching that goal?
Which is it?
The latter, in the absence of present moment living, can create stress.
The stress can unintentionally manifest as resentment, bitterness, anger, low-level desire, “not-enoughness,” and righteous pride. These are also known as lower levels of consciousness or egoic binds.
This is what I would like to address today.
How can you enjoy the moment when you have stress and unfulfilled goals or intentions in your life?
My experience has been to learn how to let go of the stress, be it in the form of resentment, bitterness, anger, low-level desire, “not-enoughness,” and righteous pride.
But before I get into the “letting go” part, I’d like to share my experience with very high levels of conscious awareness that Eckhart Tolle speaks of.
Dr. David R. Hawkins speaks of enlightened states as well. Enlightened states of consciousness begin at 600 on the Map. We all have access to these high levels of beingness.
They are profoundly beautiful and not “of this world.”
I like to say that when I have been in this “lightness of being,” I was “not in Kansas anymore!”
I have experienced significant swings in consciousness:
The presence of a high of 850 on the Map to the presence of extremely low levels of consciousness. The depths of hell are an understatement. YOU DON’T WANT TO GO THERE! These low levels likely calibrate in the negative 200s-300s. I haven’t calibrated them, but this is my intuitive guess based on my understanding of the Map.
This is an imbalance to an extreme!
Now there is no need to experience such an extreme imbalance. But if you do, know that others like me have forged a trail of light to pave the way for transcendence.
What’s a Root Cause of Stress?
Eckhart is discussing imbalance as it relates to goal-setting. If part of your life is in continual pursuit of a goal that leaves you feeling empty and embittered.
It’s time to understand how to enjoy every moment and the meaning of living in the moment.
Stress is a continuous focus on the next moment…you are torn away internally from the present moment because of this so-called, non-existent future.
In an excessive focus on becoming, arriving, or achieving, you lose what Eckhart refers to as the being dimension entirely. Your life becomes out of balance.
You’re a frustrated, resentful, and unhappy human being.
Compulsively seek the next thing and things.
This is not the Mastery of life.
You could be completely deluded and sink deeper into lower levels spins. These manifest as resentment and embittered, unfulfilled desire.
Trust me; I’ve been here. It’s no fun.
Our purpose here is about finding balance.
One dimension of being is when you live in the present moment instead of doing or projecting.
When you become aware of the present moment, you shift into greater aliveness of all senses. These senses are felt in your own body, within and without.
Eckhart describes an underlying field of aliveness you can become aware of in the present moment.
This is not only the essence of you but of everything.
When you are NOT enjoying every moment, the element of continuous frustration and discontent feeds the need to “find it.”
There’s a sense of lack.
The BEING dimension is accessed in the present moment.
The DOING requires time.
I’m not going to get into the time dimension.
Now that you may understand the concept of being, I want to get back to how to enjoy every moment and the meaning of living in the moment.
Get Help Out of Lower Consciousness with Eckhart Tolle
After my quantum spiritual awakening, I was drawn and awakened to higher consciousness by the teachings of Eckhart Tolle. I highly recommend teachings that are calibrated as higher consciousness.
Albert Einstein is quoted as saying, “You can’t solve a problem from the level of consciousness that created it.”
Enjoying Every Moment Requires Removing the Blocks to the Joy of Present Moment Living
I have some practical tools and resources to get you heading on your way to enjoying every moment again…
“It’s NOT the destination, it’s the journey.”
I teach the Map of Consciousness® and understanding where real power truly exists. If you feel resentful, bitter, angry, unworthy, or any low-level emotions, you are trying to create and manifest from lower levels of consciousness.
There is NO power here to do this.
Albert Einstein acknowledges it entirely with this quote,
“You cannot solve a problem from the level of consciousness that created it.”
Understanding the level of consciousness that created it helps understand what you need to let go of to resolve it.
Here are some tools and understandings that are helpful to grasp:
- Suppressed and repressed emotions create what you don’t want, including low-level thoughts that fuel the fire, so to speak.
- You have to surrender or let go of lower-level emotions.
- Letting go is now more than just a meme; it’s actually a highly effective mechanism for removing significant blocks in your life. These include the ability to enjoy the moment. You can find out more about the mechanism of letting go here.
- The E-motion code helps to determine the underlying emotions blocking you on a wide variety of fronts, including your ability to enjoy every moment and mindful, present moment living.
- Recontextualize everything you may have believed about life by understanding the Map of Consciousness®. You can get a video about low levels of consciousness here and high levels of consciousness here.
